COVID-19 PROCEDURES & POLICIES

     We are excited to be opening our doors again, but with this comes a lot of changes. Things will look a little different and will be run different than what you will be used to. All policies and procedures that will be practiced in the clinic are put in place by our Public Health Officer, WorkSafeBC, CMTBC and RMTBC to ensure your safety and mine. In saying this, we want to make sure that your level of care and attention will be the same.   

   

 Please read the following procedures carefully:

  • Please stay home and cancel your appointment if experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19/flu/cold, including fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, loss of sense of smell or taste, runny nose. 

  • DO NOT enter the clinic if you have been in contact with an individual infected with COVID-19 or is ill in any way. 

  • Please reschedule your appointment if you have traveled outside British Columbia in the past 14 days.

1) PREPARING FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT  ​

  • You will receive a COVID pre-screen 1 day before your appointment, please fill this out 1 day prior to your appointment. 

  • Bring a mask. If you do not have one, they are available upon request at no additional charge.

  • Please come alone to your appointment, unless you are a minor or need physical assistance.

2) WHEN YOU ARRIVE 

  • Wait in your car or outside socially distanced (6 feet/ 2 meters) from others

  • Please enter the building only 5 minutes prior to your appointment time.

  • Wear your mask upon entering the clinic unless you need one from us.

  • Sanitize your hands with hand sanitizer once you enter the building. 

  • All patients are required to sign a COVID-19 screening/waiver. 

  • Your temperature will be taken with a thermometer. 

3) DURING YOUR APPOINTMENT 

  • We will wear a mask for the entire treatment.

  • Patient is required to wear a mask during the whole appointment with exception of being face down.

4) AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT 

  • ​We will guide you to the reception desk for payment.

  • Benefits will be processed. 

  • Payment: e-transfer, VISA, mastercard, debit. 

  • Invoices and payments will be emailed electronically unless requested otherwise.

BEHIND THE SCENES: ADDITIONAL MEASURES

  • Zero tolerance sickness policy for both staff and patients.

  • Therapist daily health screening.

  • Protective sneeze guard at reception area.

  • 30 minutes between appointments to allow thorough disinfecting time. 

  • Staggered appointments with co-workers to allow social distancing. 

  • Increased cleaning measures on all surfaces and equipment.
